Specialist for agile project management
Learning content
We start with the craft that every project manager should master. Using the proven PMI system, you will be guided step by step through the biggest challenges of classic projects.
Nowadays, everyone and everything is agile. At least that’s how it seems at times. “Agile” has now become a buzzword that is used in many different ways – but sometimes incorrectly. In this course, you will learn what agile really means and what is simply wrong.
With us, you won’t just fill your methodological toolbox with phrases. Together we will guide you through the most important agile methods for project management in an agile environment. You will learn about the processes, what challenges you may face and what tools are available to you to deal with them confidently.
One of the agile myths is that everything is agile these days. This much in advance: that is by no means the case. That’s why you will learn about both the classic and agile worlds of project management and, above all, how to differentiate between them.
Agile methods are large processes whose implementation can be complex depending on the organisation. Agile techniques, on the other hand, are tools that are easy to use. With the techniques from this course, you can make your work more agile from tomorrow and start in small steps.
So there are two worlds in project management. However, as is so often the case in our VUCA world (more on this in the course), the distinction is not clear-cut. As a project manager, you are often well advised to incorporate methods from both worlds into a project. These hybrid projects have special features, which we will of course go into in-depth.
Right, so you’ve been trained, you’ve filled your methodological toolbox to the brim – now what? Together, we will go through how you can gradually initiate an agile transformation, regardless of your position or the type of organisation that surrounds you.
Modules
This interactive course teaches you the most important aspects of both project management worlds: classic and agile. The first third of the course is dedicated to classic project management. In doing so, we use the most widely used project management method worldwide from the Project Management Institute (PMI) in Pennsylvania as a benchmark.
From then on it becomes agile. You will become familiar with the agile world with all its strengths and weaknesses and gain a deep insight into the most important agile methods. Finally, the two worlds merge, as you will frequently encounter so-called hybrid projects in your day-to-day business.
